Memorial Criteria
(Grave Space and Woodland Walk)
No vases are allowed on grave spaces or instead of headstone.
All headstones must be erected on a concrete plinth (minimum size 2’ deep x 3’9” wide – or to abut adjoining plinths / graves).
All headstones must stand on a single 3’ x 2’ (900mm x 600mm) slab. Any headstone placed on more than one base will not be accepted.
If the family wish to place flowers on the grave, then vases must be incorporated in the headstone.
Statues of a religious significance will be allowed but will need special approval.
An outline of an animal / object on the monument itself is permitted.
Neither synthetic stone nor plastic monuments will be allowed.
Raised kerbs, footstones or tablets are not allowed on Sections G, H, J & K.
No advertisement or trademark is to be inserted on a monument but the number of the grave space must be shown on the base.
All monuments must be approved by the Parish Council and details submitted to the Council Office before any work is undertaken.
Monument criteria is the same as for Burials.
Grave Spaces will eventually be turfed over.
